Maritz Research has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Marketing Science.  This person provides technical expertise to non-technical audiences and interacts with clients and supports project teams in selling, analyzing and reporting research projects.  This person will spend about half the time supporting the sales team with the technical aspect of complex research studies and the other half will be spent consulting on research design and interpretation issues, creating experimental designs, running analyses and consulting on reporting.  The director will also be involved in new product development and new methods development.  Direct reports will be hired as the sector grows.  We have some flexibility about where the director would be located.  

Some skills we are looking for related to this position:

(1)Technical expertise in the science of marketing research, exceptional abilities to communicate to non-technical audiences and ability to foster the growth of more junior marketing scientists are markers of a successful director.

(2) Master’s degree in Statistics, Marketing Research or other research-related field required with PhD strongly preferred. 

(3)  5-10 years experience analyzing survey research data.  Hands on experience designing research and running analyses.

(4) Superior communication skills.

(5) Ability to make high-level presentations to internal and external clients.

(6) Expertise in SAS, SPSS  

(7) Experience with consulting and advising senior researchers regarding best survey methodologies
